CLASS HISTORY After twelve long years of working, wandering, and playing together, our train begins to slow and we find our band of travelers drawing close to the end of their journey. Some years wo gained a few and somo years we lost a few. The real old-timers that started out on the long journey together were: Ronnie Clary, Myrna WInzer, Paul Garren, Raymond Weinberg, Jo Anne McKernan, Ellen Howland, Charles C., and Louise Sutton. Paul and Myrna could hardly wait for the school day to be over so they could rush home and play cowboys and Indians. It was in those days that Jo Anne would walk all over school hollering Brother , hunting Johnny. Remember our teacher-Mlss Mae? By the time the next year rolled arouna, we felt like old- timers. Our train was joined this year by R.V. Clary,Patricia Knapp and Cleo Chavez. We all passed to the fourth grade.although some of us had a hard time making it. .Veil, look who's getting on at this stop, there's R.L. Clary, Harold Hartman and Patty Sportsman. This is the year that we thought we were so big when we used pen and ink. In the sixth graae we all showed our acting and musical talent by putting on the operetta, Polished Pebbles . We were Joinod by Johnny McKernan at this stop. Patricia Knapp had a big case on Jerry Thomas, and she and Jo Anne McKernan had arguments over him all the time. Seventh grade at last. Now we were able to play basketball. Goshl But we're important. We were joined by Carol Ruhnke and Mary Lou Ingram, also R.L. Clary. The eighth grade brought Margaret Meng and Wava Holzhey, who had all the boys in a flutter. Our basketball teams won the tournament and we were so happy. We composed the grade school Alma Mater. Do you remember it, kids? Here we are we're from Troy Grede School and so on. Do any of you remem- ber- who spoke at the graduation services? Then Marilyn Hutch- ison's birthday party afterwards. As our train enters the last years of our Journey we find ourselves in the high school building. We were completely lost going from one room to another. We gained a lot of pass- engers at this stop. Among them were, R.L. Clary (again), Betty Harter, Duane Hunsaker, Gordon Murphy, Bill Jasper, Barbara Thompson, Billy V ykert, ana last but not least, Patt Mullen. We, of cours, had a tough lnitati n. And that night an ali school party. ..e were a little too young and shy to flirt, (very much), but now we know more. Our sophomore year was the year that wo had so much fun in Pop Club meetings and so on. This ms the year that there were a lot of steadies in school. Vie found ourselves real- izing what school life was and v e took advantage of all its activities. Last year our train was made larger by the addition of Duane Snodgrass. How well we remember the junior-senior ban- quet. Anu of course, the talent side of the class and the junior play, The Trouble Solvers . And now alter twelve long years hero we aro Seniors, and Station Graduation is next. Jim Clary and Louise Sutton came back to us al ter Louise had done a bit of traveling on her om. And to the up-and-coming Seniors of Tomorrow, we say that we hope your senior year will be as happy as ours has been to- gether. So we bid goodby to a granu school with a wonderful student body.
