ClaAA prophecy It is the year 1961 and as I glance over the magazine Personalities of Ameri- ca of which I am co-editor, I see some of my old classmates in the headlines. Asiwe thumb through the magazine we see that Francis Bibb is now a bathing suit model for the J. C. Penny Clothing Co. Well, well, it seems that Mae Brenner is now the U. S. best typist and has got- ten offers from the leading firms. Well, here’s my old neighbor, Norma Delk. She’s married again and we hope it sticks this time. They say the third time is the charm. Rowena Dixon is now head nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Earl Eastabrooks is head mechanic at the Ford garage in Troy. We see that Mary Flott is one of America's outstanding authorities on horses, and is now an expert at riding them. Shirley Folsche owns the King ranch and a large herd now—her childhood dream came true. Bernadine Ford and Jack Masters' are happily married. Silent Jack and Bashfull Bernie are still the same. Lynne Fuller is an accordonist with the Kansas City Symphony Orchestra. Myron Jeschke is now coaching a pro-basketball team called The Chickens. Betty Lewis is married and lives in Burr Oak township with her family of twelve. JoAnne Masters is now librarian for the New York Library of Natural History. Jack Mallory—well, it looks as if old Jack gets around. He was singing duets with Roy Acoff and now he is Mr. America for 1961. John Mallory is still trying to break his own world’s record which he set back in 1954. And, of course, we see Smiling Don McClelland the used car dealer. Marceline Miller is now a hostess for Contenental Airlines and is doing very well, we hear. Frances Neumann now owns and operates the St. Joseph Junk Yards, Inc. We received a letter from Norma Jean Nitz the other day, and we hear that she is a missionary in the Belgin Congo. Beverly Scott is now a teacher of advanced algebra at Blair High School. As we look at the local news we see where Erma Sharp has been teaching history at the Highland Junior College for the past six years. As we look at the Hollywood news we see where Marjorie Trant and Harry Carey were recently married. Well, well, this could be expected-Donna Williams and her beloved Colonel, Glen Losson of the U. S. Air Force, were married yesterday. Well, that's the way it goes, they say. Here we sit brooding over old memories and a bankrupt magazine. Eddie Scarbrough Dick Stahl P.S.
