Remember: All the times the Senior boys were sent to the office, and how they would come back and tell the rest of us what happened while they were in there....... .....The ink fight Marlon Brumfield and Wilbur Scarboro had in the eight grade. ...........The time Linus Linne and Paul Masterson had to walk up and down the steps about fifteen times for running down them once............The time Joe Detzer, Marion Brumfield, and some of the other boys had to go down the fire escape ten times for slipping down them once............The class tourney we had in our Freshman year, and how we expected to beat the Seniors, but oh boy, were we disappointed. We won the other three class tourneys though............ The time Jim Pearson and Johnny Gladhart broke the bookcase door with the orange they got at the Christmas party. Poor boys, it took their Christmas funds, and even part of their vacation to pay for and to fix 1t............How mad we got when we couldn't take a bus to Lynnv1lle............How we disliked having our picnics at Lincoln Ferry Park in our Freshman and Sophomore years... .........The good times the soliciters had at Tell City when they went after ads for the Trojan and the annual............The fun we had preparing for our Junior-Senior outing, also the fuss we had about the chickens during Literature class............How hard we worked popping pop corn after school in our Junior year. We certainly worked hard--eating so muchl............The times we got out of school for soft ball games, also the trip several of us took to Oil Township to attend one of these games............The fun we had taking pictures in the snow for the annual............The fun we had at the skating party, and how everybody 'dusted' the floor. It seemed as though every time you turned around someone was on the floor. The kids weren't quite so lively at school for the next two or three days............How the poor Freshmen landed the first time they went down the fire escape............How we fussed about Public Speaking, and ended up liking it just as well as any of our other classes...... ......We didn't have to make a five minute speech though............The hard time we had selecting two plays............How we all thought we got gyped on our two month's bookkeeping practice set. We were ready to give Mr. Walk the set back just as soon as we gave him the dollar for it............The times we had trying to get the radio to work. Someone had to hold the cord all the time before it would play............How we appreciated the good work the boys did at the first game with Selvin, and how mad we were when we played them the second time............The time we had vistors on the bus on the way home from Hol1and............How crowded the Senior room was. If you found your books, you were just lucky............The Juniors of '48 who were so tight. They wouldn't even let the Senior girls read their own prophecies............How Ernest Gleason spent most of his time in the Senior room trying to see what was going on...........The day we were in Government class and the telephone kept ringing. Mr. Munier finally answered it. He came back and it started ringing again, and he wouldn't answer it. He said the operator told him the last time that she didn't want him.'............On the way home from Springmill, when Jo Ola sat on the deviled eggs. We wonder if you were trying to hatch them, Jodey- .........In our Freshman year, how disgusted we get with Miss Conway hearing her talk about 'John the Farmer,' all the time. Another favorite saying of her's was, 'That Point Var1es.'............The time Marion B umfield was going to tell Miss Burke on Miss Conway for putting a piece of candy in her mouth after the bell rang............Friday, February 13, when we went to the ballgame at Holland, and the lights went out on the bus, and we d1dn't get to Holland until about 8:00 o'c1ock. We beat Stendal that night though............The time Lee loshenek fell out of his desk in his Sophomore year. Surly must have been an interesting class to fall asleep in............How happy we were when we got our class rings in our Junior year............The time Helen Schulthise spelled Pius, P-u-1s............How Mr. Hall enjoyed making Richard Palmer be quiet. It wasn't quite so easy this year, since Richard is taller than Mr. Hall. ...... .....How sorry we were that Mrs. Taylor couldn't finish our Freshman year with us. Also the time the eighth grade girls went to her house after school, and then we all went to a ballgame that n1ght............In our Freshman year, how our knees shook when we went to Algebra class, for fear that we didnFt have our lesson right. y .. .elf jgggii 3fgEE2 1 J e
