VALEDICTORIAN Albert Gross entered Troy High School to begin his high school work in the year of 1944. He graduated from St. Pius Grade School of Troy. p it - T a.. tg He was on the honor roll every month while attending high school. He received the Scholarship Award for having the highest grades in his Junior year. He played on the basketball team during the first three years of school. Albert plans on going to college after graduation, but is undecided as yet, to what school he is going to attend. However, he took a scholarship examination for Indiana Uni- versity. Albert is eighteen years old. He is five feet and nine inches tally has blond hair and hazel eyes. ' SALUTATORIAN William CB1l1J Rust began his high school career in Troy High School in 1944. Before entering high school, he attended Troy Grade School. 7' Bill was very successful in grade school and was promo- ted from the seventh grade to the first year of high. He was on the honor roll nearly every month while attending high school. He played on the basketball team during his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. He plays as Center. doesn't intend to go to college. His intentions are to work in a factory. Bill is sixteen years and nine months old. He has black hair, brown eyesg and is six feet and three inches tall. D. A. R. AWARD There were four schools in Perry County, who g:: chose the senior girl they thought would be worthy of the honor to receive the D. A. R. Award for having best citizenship. The senior girls from our school who were selected, were Anastasia Braunecker, Bonita Cash, and Hazel Howe. The girl who was chosen was Anastasia Braunecker. Anastasia was chosen with these characteristics in mind: l. Dependability--which included truthfulness, loyal- ty, and punctuality. 2. Service--cooperation, courtesy, and consideration for others. 5. Leadership--personality, self-control and ability 4. Patriotism--unselfish interest in family, school, com unity, and nation. Anastasia is seventeen years old. She has dark brown hair and blue eyes.
