MISS HERRON--ENGLISH AND SPEECH Dear Board: I am wantin' a job for myself. I'm not very good at makin' speeches but I could try.I am patriotic to two states. I live in Kentucky but my home is in Tennessee. You see, it's this way: the Tennessee line is right in front of my house but I went to school in Kentucky. I have some actin' ability, but not, much. I once appeared in a play when I was a freshman. I could try to organize a Dramstics Club, if you will only give me a chance. I'd try very hard to be a successful teacher. Very truly yours, Miss Herron MISS BAKER--LATIN AND ENGLISH Dear, dear, dear Board Members: Having heard of your vacancy of a English teacher, I am ready to qualify for the job. Being very sweet to my pupils is one of my peculiarities. I am just what you are looking for in a Lat- in instructor too. So you can just call me a two in one teacher. My Latin in- structors used to tell me I was a very bright girl in the freedom of speech line. Singing is one of my talents so .iiiiiiik I could teach your wonderful boys and girls singing. I also play the piano perfectly which makes me very unanimous for the job. Affectionally, Miss Baker MR. KETRING--PRINCIPAL Dear Board Members: You have the opportunity to hire me as the principal of your school and as a very competent teacher. As you can see for yourself, I am really good as I can be three things at once--princ1- pal, sociology teacher, and junior bus- iness instructor. Now, what do you say, do you want a 'Superman'at your school? If so, I will be glad to phone you col- lect if you would want to talk to me. Very truly yours, Mr. Ketring L13
