-'1gaST - .aiiaiial a The Pep Squad this year was renew- ed under the sponsorship of Miss Baker. Eighteen girls joined and the Cheer Leaders were elected by a majority vote of the squad. The Cheer Leaders for this year were Pauline Schmerbauch and Betty Modene. The second semester, Faye Bybee joined the Cheer Leaders and some changes were made in the uniforms over last year. White sweaters with orange and black emblems replaced the orange blouses. The rest of the uniform re- mained the same. The girls wore skirts, orange and black dinks, black anklets, and oxfords as last year. These girls were loyal to their team: Cleft to right! F. A. Regular meetings of this organiz- tion are held on the first Tuesday ev- ening of each month under the sponsor- ship of E. J. Wagner. Some of the act- ivities carried out by the F. F. A. chapter are: father and son banquet, public-speaking contest, donkey basket- ball games, softball games,summer camp- ing trip, and the exhibition of entries in local, county, and state fairs. This year all the members attended the Nat- ional F. F. A. at Kansas City, Kansas. The membership of the band has in- creased to fifty-one. During the course of the year, the organization has re- ceived a new Eb bass horn and a double T' '11 ' T TQ! The band opened their concerts this fall at the dedication of the new town bandstand and played on the first night of the Band Carnival. Besides playing at several basketball games, they fur- nished music between the acts of the Grade School Operetta.
