We feel as Boswell described Samuel Johnson, He did not strut or stand on tiptoe, he only did not stoop. And so we do not strut, but neither do we stoop as we think of our vital role in the total school program. We have a unique role with an emphasis always on the individual student as com- pared to other school personnel who often seek for smoothness in the total operation. As guidance personnel we are concerned about the values young people adhere to and the direction they are headed. We seek to help each student become self directed in his search for a set of values that will help him lead the most productive life, lt is our goal to aid THS students make sure they are able to find themselves in terms of their capabilities, goals for the future, and their relations with their fellow human beings.
