uniaaefau Three down and one to go - that briefly is the history of the Junior Class at Troy High School. The Juniors have had three good years at Troy High and are looking forward to the last and lthey hopel the best. The members of this class have been especially outstanding scholastically. Each year many of them have entered the scholarship tests at Miami Univer- sity. They have also participated enthusiastically in athletics and extra- curricular activities. Nine members of the class were chosen as members of the National Honor Society. They are Marilyn Rogers, Jean Dungan, Mary Catherine Gardner, Nancy Gardner, Beverly Grauser, Barbara Bowman, Wilma Coppess, James Johnston, and William Pearson. This year the Juniors produced a junior class play, Chicken Every Sunday . This class also presented an impressive Senior Farewell Chapel and a Junior- Senior Dinner-Dance for the graduating class. The class advisers are Mary Butler, Carleton Kazmaier, Donald C. Bay, and L. E. Jackson. aniaaefadfl ywm eau age. Roger Fulker, President: Robert Bader, Vice Presi- dent: Mary G. Gardner Secretary: Bobbe Butter- field, Treasurer. Under the capable direction of Miss Thelma Thompson, the Junior Class, on November 22, presented as their class play a three act comedy entitled Chicke n Every Sunday . The story centered around the Blachman boarding house in Tuscon, Arizona, in the year l9l6, and related the vicissitudes of Mrs. Blachman, the boarding house proprietress, who endeavored to keep a check on the antics of her happy-go-lucky h usband, while thriftily managing the hostelry. The boarders were quite cosmopolitan, ranging from a widow, who doted on cosmetics and beautifying lotions, to an American Indian. Several female char- acters, some of whom were a bit on the eccentric side, enlivened the play. Although the plot was somewhat obscure, the eldest daughter's engagement to a wealthy Easterner, who was suspected of being a spy, supplied the central theme, with the actions of the Blach- man's numerous boarders furnishing the comedy relief. All ended happily, however, when the daughter realized her true love was a childhood sweetheart. CAST Mrs. Lawson ...... Jeffrey Lawson .... . Miss Gllley ......... Mr. Willard .........
