Army On a bright September morning way back in l943, we seniors, both frightened and unsuspecting, entered the halls of T. H. S. for the first time, As freshment we studied our heads off to better ourselves before becoming upperclassmen. Upon entering our sophomore year, we joined the Girl Reserve, Hi-Y, Glee Club, and other extra-curricular activities along with sports of all kinds. A few of us gave forth our lusty voices in the operetta, Harmony Hall . After two years of hard work, we obtained the glory of being upperclassmen, only to be bossed by seniors and teachers. During this year, five members of our class were elected to the National Honor Society. These students were Patricia Frisbie, Patricia Jones, Herbert Fader, Robert McFadden, and David Stephen- son. During this year, we attended our first Prom. Many of us were in the operetta H, M. S. Pinafore and also presented the junior class play, Professor, How Could You? The junior Girl Reserves gave their traditional senior breakfast for the senior girls, and the class, as a whole, gave the Farewell Chapel. At long last, we became the bosses of the lower classmen. iSo we thoughtll During this year, we par- ticipated in every club and sport there was. Our great fame came when our football team became the first M. V. L. Champions in the history of Troy High. One of our girls was elected Homecoming Queen and another girl and boy were elected Queen and King of Hearts at the S. O. S. Junimore-Hi-Y Formal. Four more of our group were elected to the National Honor Society in their last semester. They were Clare Chestnut, Kathryn Johnston, Phyllis Shane, and Robert Kaufman. Our class play, Lost Horizon , Baccalaureate, and Commencement brought down the curtain on our twelve years of school. And so as we leave Troy High to begin a different life, we look back upon our happy days at T. H. S. which passed too quickly for some, but too slowly for others. We want to thank our teachers and friends who so laboriously and patiently tried to prepare us for our places in the world of tomorrow. We leave T. H. S. every good wish for her continued success.
