H. S. For the large part of our freshman year we stood around with our mouths open. We felt like kings when we entered, but the upper classmen soon put us in our place. Our second or sophomore year at T. H. S. found us joining G. R., Hi-Y, and other ex- tra-curricular activities. Many of our number also participated in the operetta, Trial By J ury . At last, we were upper classmen, three long years for this, and now, only one more year! Sam Mack, William Robbins, Eleanor Fish and Billy Gilleland were our class officers, and led us through a very eventful and successful year. We also took part in all bond drives and contributed much to the War effort. The social high light of this year was an all junior party called the Briar Ball . Our last year is here! We are now full fledged seniors and a far cry from that first day we entered T. H. S. four years ago. In sports, the seniors have taken active parts, and the basketball team with two senior regulars won the Miami Valley League Championship and were District Runners-up. The class presented Don't Take My Penny as the senior class play. The J unior-Senior Prom, the Senior Dinner, Farewell Assembly, Baccalaureate, and Commencement constituted our activities the last half of the year. We are proudest of our showing all four years in scholarship. Those elected to the National Honor Society were Jo Ann Allen, Nelson Beck, Douglas Drake, James De- Groff, Richard Delp, Walter Allen, Sam Mack, William Wagner, Robert Gardner, Jerry Fox, Elizabeth Lindenberger, Ada Richardson, Barbara Schardt, Anne Jones. We feel very proud of our years at T. H. S. and leave with a note of regret. We are Not at the top, but climbing. loaf 'Zeke My penmf' BY ANNE C. The Pringle household is more or less always in an uproar. Penny has just decided that she will play the part of Dimity West from the book Stars in Her Hair. What she doesn't know is that the new maid, Sally, isn't just a maid at all, but a former child movie star. Sally has been planted in the Pringle home to be rediscovered and given the part of Dimity West. Harrison Day, the author of the book, comes to the Pringle home, and after much confusion chooses Dimity. Mark by this time time has fallen in love with Sally. Sally gives up the chance to go to Hollywood for Mark and his farm. Penny decides to stay home and play in the Fairhaven Tennis Tournament with Kerry. Mavis goes to Hollywood as Dimity West.
