Lerner, former Industrial Arts teacher, now a com- missioned lieutenant, Junior grade in the United States Navy, William Berndt, commissioned an ensign, and Grace Wenz, former commercial teacher, an apprentice seaman in the women's naval forces, the WAVES, Troy High School students and members of the faculty extend best wishes and express their appreciation tor the services rendered by these teachers. Both Lieutenant Lerner and Apprentice Seaman Wentz re- ported tor duty on April lO, 1943, Lieutenant Lerner going to Ohio State University and Apprentice Seaman Wentz to Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Ensign Berndt reported to Ohio State University on May l, i9-43.
