LAURIE SWANSON - TROY ' S JUNIOR MISS The 1977 Junior Miss contest was filled with excitement as seven Troy girls competed for the title of Troy Junior Miss. The girls worked hard together preparing for the pageant on the night of Sept. 24th. The competition results were: Laurie Swanson - Troy Jr. Miss, Scholarship, BIythe Martinez - First Runner-Up, Teresa Swanson - Second Runner-Up, Tami Lake - Spirit of Junior Miss, Kathi Payne - Physical Fitness Award, Marilyn Swanson - Talent Award, and Jane Hanson - Poise and Appearance. It was an exciting evening, long to be remembered for the girls and all who attended. ■f Judy Thompson, Advisor of the Junior Miss contestants, watches with excitement and enthusiasm as her girls perform. Cindy took three firsts— in the 75, the 100, and 220-yard dashes. The relay team composed of Lisa Cox, Janice Edgar, Sandi Stratton Danette Hammond took sixth place.
