Walker. ee, In 1953 Troy High School hada very successful season, according to Coach Hill, although they won only one meet, The ‘‘53’’ roster was composed almost wholly of Soph- mores and Juniors, with but a few scattered Freshmen and Seniors. The whole of Troy’s 1953 power was in these two classes which means they are all returning to chow their heels again. Troy enjoyed mild success in five of the six major track meets last year and hopes to repeat this year along with a few additional victories. All of these things point to a strong 1954 campaign. Most of Troy’s points should come from the middle distances and relay which is where Troy is very strong. Fine spirit and a large turnout are expected this spring. These factors should aid greatly to Troy High’s high hopes of their first Oakland ‘‘B’’ conference champion- ship.
