Troy Daily SOCIETY PAGE PHOTO TYPE KLUSENDORF-KIRKPATRICK RITES PLANNED The date has finally been set for the marriage of Miss Delores Klusendorf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Klusen- dorf, to Jim Kirkpatrick. The ceremony is to take place Aug- ust 21st. Miss Lily Mae Clippert, close friend of the bride, is flying from New York to be the Maid of Honor, while Jim Fielding takes over the management of her modeling agency for the weekend. Junior Gardner will officiate at the ceremony. THE KAGES ENTERTAINING Mr. and Mrs. Toni Kage have planned a weekend yacht- ing party in celebration of their tenth wedding anniversary. Their f ormer classmates from the class of '51 of Troy are attending. Mrs. Kage is the former Joyce Bronson. SOCIETY NEWS The former Margaret Mc- Cormick has returned to Troy on a visit after spending the last ten years in California. She is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gamble. Mrs. Gamble is the former Kathleen McPeek. JUST MARRIED Motorcyclist Norman Mc- Comb, and his new bride, the former Johanna Woolsey, are tooring the world on a motor- cycle and sidecar. This may prove to be the most success- ful publicity stunt of the year. NEW TEACHERS The summer session of Troy High School is opening with a new teaching staff. They are: Grace Wells, girls’ athletic instructor; Bill Hull, boys’ athletic instructor; Jackie Tolbert, Latin; Vivian Stueckle, Commercial depart- ment; Richard Kanehl, Mathe- matics; and Delores Serafini, English. Arthur Hallenback is the new principal. NEW CUSTARD SHOP OPENED The former Virginia Duncan has just opened the fifth in a string of custard shops. Dur- ing the first week of her open- ing she is giving away free dishes of Baseball Ice Cream in honor of her famous hus- band who is pitcher for the Detroit Tigers. VOTE FOR HONEST LEE LAMBERT For Mayor Vote for Lee -- He's good you'll see! Honest Clean AUTO FACTORY NOW OPEN The Merian-Mancour Auto factory is now operating under full production. The owners Bob Mancour and George Merian, say that it is one of the largest in Detroit. Miss Margaret Stumpf has been made head stenographer. 27 LEAVING FOR ARIZONA Paul Whitmer and Royal Kilway have closed their pool hall for the winter and are taking a trip to Arizona.
