SENIOR CLASS HISTORY FLOWER-Lilac CCTDRS-Silver and Lavender MOTTO: NDon't talk about your abilities, Demonstrateu In the fall of 19157 , Sixty-sizc Freshmen enrolled in Troutville High School. we finally got adjusted to high school life under the direction of Mrs. Patterson, Mr. Miller, and Mr. Bowman. we were the largest Freshmen Class in a number of years. We chose Iva Bowman president. Several of us took part in the various school clubs and activities. One girl and one boy were chosen to play on the school basketball teams. At the beginning of our Sophomore year our census dropped to fifty-five. Our advisers were Mr. Coffman, Mr. Moore, and Mr. Scott. we elected Billy Humbert president. By this time we were learning how to get more out of high school in both work and play. we took part in the following activities: F.F.A., F.H.A., Library Club, The Warrior Staff, Basketball, and Glee Club. As Juniors, our membership was fifty-four. This year we were under the guidance of Mrs. Helen Goodsell and Miss Rosalie Bowman, and for our president we chose Betty Barger. we watched football and student government get underway, but basketball was still out front. we gave a play entitled Damsels in Distress, which proved to be a big hit. We vie-iz-'alia'-f'o'r'1Eit75to have the first May Queen and Maid-of-Honor of Troutville Hi chosen from our class. We gave a Junior-Senior Banquet which was lots of fun. Thus having finished a prosperous Junior year, we prepared for the year to come. On entering our Senior year our number decreased to forty. we realized that this was our most important year in high school, so we tried to make the most of it. we have been under the direction of Mrs. Sifford and Mrs. Conovich, and we chose Opal Wagner'president. All took part in various clubs and activities and presented a play which was very successful. We Seniors agree that school has been a happy experience We feel a bit sad when we think of leaving our fellow students, teachers, and school but we are happy to think that we are better able to meet the problems of life since we have completed our school work. As we leave we want to wish all of our friends the best of luck in the coming years. THE SENIOR CLASS 7 Cv
