I REMEMBER THAT ..... T the Christmas Assembly, Mr. Toole's fourth period English class, took part in a dra- matic reading of the Christmas Carol. The Students who participated in the play were James A. Ball as Scrooge, Barbara Reed, Carol McArd1e, Doris Burnham, Eugene Trunzo and Ken- neth Buck. Ben Parkhill, Howard Klino and Jack Taylor provided sound effects. The assembly was followed by parties for the rest of the day in the homerooms and shops. Mr. Hadden's chorus caroled through the halls. Trott's intramurals were again started in basketball, volleyball and bowling. Champions of the basketball intramurals were the Faculty while those of the volleyball were Millwright 12 and those of bowling were Mixmasters. The Senior Class under the direction of President Frank Fabin, Treasurer Barbara Reed, and Vice President Jerry Mietz, came out with quite a few good ideas this year for money raising projects. Among them was the selling of refreshments at the home basketball games. Mr. Fred Layo was senior class advisor. Trott's news, sports and talent was thoroughly publicized on the radio during the year. A new program, Pepsi Teen Time, was broadcast on WJJL, on which Trott was well represented. Judy Conte and Sylvia Curtis alternated on announcing the schools news, while Ralph Shagoian aired our sports. The talent of Trott, four regulars, were George Henderson, Doris Burnham and a duo, Judy Simpson and Nancy Metzler. In early March a new school paper, The Trott Trojan, came out. This paper was headed by Art Downie, editorg James Monaghan, sportsg Shiela Hennegan and Diane Villone, typists. Mr. Kovach was advisor. In February, Mr. Kovach presented a play 'Tain't Fit For Man or Beast. The play was presented during one of our assemblies. The cast consisted of Darlene Scheie as Mag A1 Daniels as Pap Nina Fratello as Little Nelly Nancy Metzler as Rich Widowg Charles Carlino as Baby Face: Art Downie as Guy Forsythe, and James Monaghan as Handsome Ha1. The play was enjoyed by all at the assembly. 27
