0 Q3 f kgyr Q I REMEMBER TH T ..... Q3 iv ' g' Q N early October try-outs began for the cheerleading squads, under the supervision of Miss Kocic. Those who made Junior Varsity are Lorelei Ehrhard, captaing Mary Yelder, Shiela Hennegan, Carol Kramarz, Lois Kerbo and Nina Fratello. Those who made Varsity are Nancy Metzler, captain: Judy Simpson, Joyce Mong, Judy Conte, Joyce Perman and Carol McCardle. They certainly showed their ability to cheer at the games, and provided much of the moral support for the football and basketball teams. Also in October, Mr. Bernard Check organized a group called the Trott Activity Club or more commonly known-among the students as TAC. Officers nominated and elected were Robert Townsend, President, Joyce Mong, Vice Presidentg Sylvia Curtis, Treasurer, and Judy Simpson, Secretary. TAC started off with a bang. First came the warmly received Halloween dance, followed by the suc- cessful Thanksgiving dance given jointly with the senior class. This was followed by one of the big- gest dances Trott has ever seen, the Valentine dance Hearts and Flowers, co-sponsored by the Student Council. Not content with the dances only, TAC sponsored an unusual fete for Trott: the very successful skating party given on April ll. Our football season was not very successful this year. Although we only won one game our team really showed their integrity to play and more than tried to win. We had one successful game out of eight games. We turned back Tonawanda, 6-0 in a victory well earned. Mike DiPietro and Dave Booth made the all city football team. In November Trott's chorus and band made their debut under the direction of Mr. John Hadden, our new music teacher. They sang and played in a manner which made us proud of them. Mr. Hadden has done a great deal to make the 1955-56 band and chorus the success it is. The chorus consists of 18 boys and 21 girls. On December 13, The Trott Trotters ffacultyj and the Senior Clowns fsenior classl played a basketball game to raise money for the senior class. Although the faculty won, we cannot say that the tactics used were according to the rules. 16
