This year there were 20 new members tapped and inducted into National Honor Society. An anonymous poet wrote a poem about each new inductee, which gave the tapping a more personal effect. NHS members held several bake sales to cover the expenses of the new inductees' pins and the refreshments at the reception held after the induction. Mrs. Gilson and Mr. Wirt served as the advisors forthisgroup. ff . The guys always have two money-making projects which are the popcorn machine that they faithfully run at basket- ball and football games and the coat check during basket- ball season. Inflation really hit this year as they charged 15 cents to hang up your coat. With the money raised as a result of this project, the club plans to carpet the boys' locker room. B - To help support Varsity T, Warren Armstrong hangs up coats at the bas- ketball games. C - Brad Edington takes a break to eat while he runs the popcorn machine during the bas- ketball season. ll YW ?Ni. 39
