Qecognized at Awards Assembly . g.s. , I L , L . 'Va' Net' 'ir E A - Seniors, Ken Flinner and Deb Armstrong are chosen by the student body for the title of 1975 Mr. Titan and Miss Triway. B - One of Triway's most outstanding senior students, Doug Ward proudly displays his many awards of distinction which include the Diamonite Products Award, the Bausch and Lomb Award, and the Na- tional Merit Scholarship Award. He was recognized for placing among the finalists in the state for the Ameri- canism test. C - For being outstand- ing in both athletics and scholarship, Alan Gatz and Cookie Wright receive the American Legion Scholastic and Athletic Award. D - Karen Brazee is given special recognition with the DAR Good Citizen Award. E - Bob Merrilat and Jill Speicher are the honorary recipients of the Danforth l-Dare-You Award. F - Surprised Karen Brazee happily accepts the DAR Good Citi- zen Award presented by Mrs. John Myers, chairman of the Good Citizen Committee. 27

These students, outstand- ing in scholastic achievement, athletics, and citizenship were recognized at the annual awards assembly held on May 14. In June, four students represented Triway at Girls' and Boys' State. The girls, Joy Schwarz- walder and Deb Weaver attended Capital Univer- sity for Girls' State. For Boys' State Dave Johns- ton and Rick Martine went to Ohio University. In addition to the recognition of scholastic and athletic involvement, students were com- mended for their contributions to FTA, Titan Talk, and the Library Club. Also, this year a new award was given to Mike Boley for his prompt completion of course assignments in Mr. Zody's OWA class. i . ...... .
