Print and Drafting Shops TRIPOLI's lithographers staff the Print Shop and ensure all printed material is properly produced professionally and expediently. Publications such as the daily, Plan of the Day and the ship's newspaper, Personnel and Family Grams, and various others are printed in the Print Shop. Special photographic reproduction are also done in the Print Shops' photo lab. The Drafting Shop is manned by Navy Draftsmen. Their job is to prepare special artwork, designs and layout. This type of work demands a high degree of precision and professional knowledge to enable the end product to be beneficial to its purpose. Post ffice and Career Counselor When Mail Call sounds throughout TRIPOLI it's a race to the Post Office by divisional representatives. The Post Office sends and receives all letters, packages and official correspondence for TRIPOLI. Postal money orders can also be purchased along with stamps at the Post Office. Mail is expediently sorted and delivered to crewmembers and it helps to bring home a bit close while deployed. When it comes time for a TRIPOLI crewmember to reenlist, transfer or just extend the Career Counselors' Office is the place to go. Their office is supplied with all current career information and crewmembers detailers are always only a phone call away to help assist in selecting their next duty station. 25

Admin and Personnel Office The Personnel Office is manned by TRIPLOI's Personnel Men. Their job encompasses every phase of administration dealing with the enlisted personnel aboard TRIPOLI. Everything from leave and emergency data to transfer and separation orders is professionally produced in the Personnel Office. From the first day 'when a new crewmember reports aboard, he checks in to Personnel for departmental assignment and when the day comes for the same man to transfer or be separated from the Navy he again must count on the assistance of the Personnel Office to insure all paperwork is complete and ready to go when the man is. The Administration Office is staffed with TRIPOLI s Yeomen. They are responsible for maintaining all officers service records, preparing and answering all official correspondence and producing the Plan of the Day. Legal and Ohaplain's Office TRIPOLI's Legal Office is responsible for all phases of legal advise and handling legal problems crewmembers may encounter while in the service. Everything from preparing a will or power of attorney to preparing papers for Captain's Mast or Executive Officers Screening is handled in the Legal Office. Their knowledge of proper legal procedures is available for all hands. During the course of WESTPAC 79-80 deployment, weekly religious services are a normal occurrence aboard TRIPOLI. TRIPOLI's Chaplain takes the helm of spiritual guidance of crewmembers by directing daily Bible study, prayer meetings, and various other methods of christian teachings. To assist him he has a number of master at arms assigned from various departments. The MAAs force enforces Navy and ship regulations, maintain order in mess, pay, and store lines, and assist with other policing duties. 7 r m l 8M f f ice 5 The 3m Coordinator receives all repair Work correspondence and complaints and insures that the proper forms are filled and the work is assigned for repair.
