simon TRIP At 6:00 A. M. Monday morning, on the 22nd day of April we started on our trip to Milwaukee. We took our lunch along so we only had to stop once and that was for gasoline at Stevens Point. We arrived at Milwaukee at 1:00 P. M. and went straight to the County Stadium where we saw the Braves play. Rain interrupted the game a couple of times but they finished it, and we didn't mindt00 much for the Braves beat the Cubs, 9 to A. After the game the girls went to the YWCA and the boys went to the Medford Hotel. The first night most of us went to a show and explored the city awhile. During the next two days, some of us again went to the Braves game, while the rest were still seeing the town. We were situated in the middle of the town, so we had access to many places. We could get bus service anywhere if we knew where to go. The places of interest we visited were: Milwaukee Museum, Mitchell Airfield, Washington Park Zoo, Pabst Brewery, and the Harley-Davidson Company. The girls went to the Wisconsin Roof where dancing is held. Thursday morning we started for Green Bay. We stopped at the Badger Consolidated in DaPere where we saw how milkvas pasteurized and bottled and how ice cream is made. We also got a generous free sample. After leaving there we went to the Beaumont Hotel in Green Bay. The University of Wisconsin's Haresfoot Club was showing at the Bay Theater that night so some of us went to see it. It had an all male cast and was named nCal1 Me Madam.' The final day of our trip we went to WBAY television station where we watched a live show being televised. After the show, we ate and then started home. The return trip was made by the way of Shawano, Kesheena, and Neopit so we saw some of the finest forests in,Wisconsin. We wish to thank all the people that made this trip possible, especially Mr. Knight, the bus driver, and our chaperones, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pokela.
