On many occasions we have played host to or- ganizations and individuals who come aboard out of either interest or curiosity but the guests we will remember the longest are the two groups of children we entertained. Our last trip to Copen- hagen on the 4-th of July. gave us an opportunity to treat 50 Danish orphans to an American holiday dinner with all the fixings. Last Christmas- in New York another group of orphans came aboard for Christmas chow and presents from Santa Clause Cope. We like to think that we brought some cheer to the kids. We do know that their visits left us with a warm glow. We har Our Holidays The Danish orphans many disabled as a result ot the war, visit the flight deck. Besides the dinner, candy and gift packages were distributed Then the children were entertained by movies of 'their favorite stars Bugs Bunny Donald Duck and Popeye.

ATHLETIC Volleyball probably reigns as king of Tripolitan sports, bringing into play nearly every division on the ship as inter-divisional tournaments are held on the forward elevator. With the hangar deck free from planes and fresh paint, however, basketball usually draws the crowds. Enough interest was fostered in the 952-'53 season to field a better than average basketball team against experienced competition. Boxing and weight lifting have a consistant following for the physical culturists. Of course no TRIPOLI sports page would be complete with- out mentioning the Brindisi and Naples softball games which were the cause of many battered bodies.
