Mrs. Weese has been with Triplett Tech since its beginning and is presently advisor for the Business Club. We know her as a dedicated teacher who wants her students to be top-notch in their field. Mrs. Weese is very understanding and always ready to listen to our problems. She not only is very versatile but also is good at sewing a fine seam and hitting a mean ball. - - surf. P, 4

ME The founding of the institution has long been my cherish- ed hopeg and, desiring that it should 'be in size and architecture commendable to this the greatest section of the fertile and picturesque and nationally-known Shenan- doah Valley as well as to its admirable site. I have delayed making this testament until the realization of acquired wealth should warrant the launching of so great an under- takingf' Dr. J. I. Triplett Dr. Joseph Irvin Triplett was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, on March 14, 1845. He attended Roanoke Busi- ness College from 1862 to 1863 and later served in the Civil War with McNeill's Partisan Rangers. In the fall of 1927 an estate estimated at three-quarters of a million dollars was stipulated to be used to establish a business and vocational school near Mt. Jackson. On Janu- ary 3, 1966, Triplett Business and Technical Institute officially opened and is a living, growing monument to Dr. J. I. Triplett. 3
