-v- : 'qs-.ww-v-,, BOYD BASABTBALL k The Trlplett Basket ball team started practlce thls year the second week of school and found that every boy 1D hlgh school went out for the flrst practlce Mr Ross S Creach was our coach thls year We had enough players for two full t ams so we always scheduled two games at a tlme Our flTSt team conslsted of Donald Prlce, Lyle Gallatin, Bill Duffleld, Robert Duffleld, and harold Bowllng Our flTSt team won ten games and lost ten game 2 beat Rothville, Roanoke, and Keytesvllle tvlce each and Sumner, Prairle Plll, Bynumvllle, and Nendon once each Tre second team was composed of Kelth Bowman, Vernon Nyers, Calvln Danlel, Bob Prlce, Barold Nrlght, Charley Powell, J W Trlplett and Franklln Dobblns The second team won only two out of ten games We attended Bynumvllle Play Day, winnlng our game over Roanoke and loslng to Bynumville that day We entered 1n three tournaments- Pidml, Xgyteg vllle, and BTUHSW1CK We played two gares in each tournament but were unable to w1n any of these V tournament games The hlgh polnt men thls year were Lyle Gallatln and Donald Prlce Flve of our letter men graduate thls year V , Basketball awards for thls year are as follows Chevrons Lyle Gallatln, Donald Prlce, Robert Duffleld and Parold BOWllHg Letters Nlllard Duffleld, Harold Wrlght, Kelth Bowman, Vernon Myers and Charley Powell rw v 1 r , ' I - . .
