Trinity University is an independent coedu- cational institution of higher learning founded in 1869 by Texas Presbyterians. Non-sectar- ian in its policies, Trinity University is dedi- cated to the search for truth and to the ac- quisition and dissemination of knowledge for the enrichment of life. The purpose of this University is to stimu- late in its students a love of excellence and to offer them the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for its pursuit. Trinity seeks to instill in its students the ideals of devotion to truth, freedom of thought and investigation, tolerance of differ- ing opinions, and appreciation of creativity. It encourages its students to be self-reliant and to develop the sense of private and public re- sponsibility appropriate to citizens of a free society while it seeks to provide a quality of campus life conducive to the highest personal development of intellect, spirit, body, and so- cial consciousness. Since education is never completed, Trinity University further endeavors to provide its students with incentives for continuing study and development. Ronald K. Calgaard President Administrators
