fd? In f 'mum ,4,,yl 'Q Q. ?f'.:. l ,... l . 4 1 if l 4 N -A - 1' ,F P W l Wow! What a week of fun! When the Trojans have a homecoming they give it all they've got! It all started with the bizarre effects of Spirit Week. People were dressed pink, punk, prep, and everything else you could think of. This was a definite change from the usual everyday attire. Next on the list, and something new for this year, was door decorations. Along with the usual hall decor, teachers' sec- ond period classes decorated their door for a prize. Through all of this, of course, you could not forget those floats! Many long and hard hours were spent in preparation for the parade. As Wednesday drew near, gray skies grew and rain began to fall. Although the rain cancelled the parade, it did not dampen spirits at the homecoming dance on Thursday. Friday finally arose with all of the mums proudly displayed. All the excitement of the yearly holiday was expressed at the pep rally. The Drill Team performed their splish-splash routine and the audience loved it. Homecoming '81 was a huge success as always everyone had a terrific time! Opposite Page Above: The Drum corps rocks the gym in their own way. tg P1 Homecoming! What does that mean to you? To the Tro- jans it means spirit week, hall decorations, flowers, and, of course, float building. Many long and hard hours were spent on the construction of all three class floats as well as the organizational groups that participated in float building. The students worked after school and hours into the night to prepare the floats for display. Although the parade was cancelled due to unfor- tunate weather, the festivities went on. The floats were covered with plastic and put on display the next day on the mall area. They were judged according to color, orginality, and how well they followed school standards for the contest. This year's winning float was built by the Junior class, which, along with the other floats, followed the theme of When You Wish Upon A Star. This theme was carried throughout the homecoming week.
