'V Q. As the senior year approached, the members of the class began to build up their treasury. They began the money- making year by sponsoring the first dance of the football season. The seniors tried something new this year. For a money-making project, they sponsored a skateothon. Although it was cancelled several times due to severe weather, when the function finally went through, it was a great success. Many seniors were rolling around the rink to collect money for their class. The valentine season was also a money-making season for the senior class. The class sold carnations for everyone's sweethearts on Friday, February 12. This was also a great success financially. The upper-classmen also sponsored a candy sole in March to bring some extra money to the treasury. Perhaps the most successful sale for the seniors was the sale of prom tickets.This money took core of the ex- penses of Las Colinas where the prom was held. All in all the senior class had o successful year with its sales and campaigns. They acquired enough money over the months to enjoy their long awaited prom.
