Shearburn Lorraine We . Hr Tatarevich The school board members and superintendent, in cooperation with the school administration, worked to pro- vide students with a well-rounded education. Their years of schooling aided them in making important decisions affec- ting the furthering of the students' knowledge. One major issue that the board had to debate this past year was crea- tion vs. evolution, which to be taught? The board decided to remain status quo until they see what the courts decide in the Arkansas case. The local school administration, headed by principal B. J. Murray, saw to it that the school functioned smoothly. If a student developed or wished to avoid a problem, he had the choice of four proficient counselors that he could consult. He could also see the dean of women or men. A new addi- tion to the administrative staff was Mrs. Jan Schronk as Director of Student Activities. ln this capacity she coor- dinated such things as fund raisings and dances. We welcomed Mrs. Lorraine Tatarevich as the new registrar. She equalized class counts and handled registration and school curriculum. Truly, the administrative staff worked to make the students' campus life less difficult. Opposite page above left: President Neal Adams hands an award to a deserving member of the PTA.
