Charles Daniel DeMarque received the Valedictorian Award for the senior class. He was in Honor Society, Young Life, Executive Council, and on the Basketball team. He graduated with the honors of TWC Book Award, Young Texas of the Month Award, Valedictorian, Boys' State, and All-Area Honorable Mention Basketball team. Dan plans to attend either Baylor, Texas A 6 M, or Austin College. His field of study will be Medicine and his future goals are to be either a doctor, dentist, or on orthodontist. Miss THS Melissa McCoy The THS faculty chose Mellssa McCoy as Mlss THS for the '81-'82 school year. Mellssa was an actlve member of the gymnastics team and quallfled for state. She showed her gymnastlc talents by belng a cheerleader for three years, At cheerleader camp she was chosen for All-American cheerleader and, In dolng so. earned a posltlon on the Natlonal Cheerleader Assoclatlon staff. Mellssa's pleaslng personality gave way to yet another honor. being chosen for the '81-'82 Homecoming Court. Another cltatlon glven to Mellssa was the Euless Clty Councll Award. Mellssa was 40th ln class ranklng and has been on the Natlonal Honor Soclety both herjunlor and senior years.
