t-,wif 1 I La ,, ' Q 4 I , 1 The Trojan volleyball team struggled this year to be superlative in every aspect of their game. They strove to enhance their skills daily through repeated practices and workouts which proved to be extremely tedious. Working hard with little reward, the team strained to perfect every detail of the game. The volleyballers united their efforts to create a winning team through their incessant determina- tion and drive. They achieved an overall seasonal record of 20 wins and only'11 losses, including both victories over L.D. Dell due to their disqualification. Under the direction of Coach Diane lnnis and assistant coach Susan Lumley, the volleyball team improved tremen- dously from their previous year, which was evidenced in the high quality volleyball action of their games. Due to this excellent class of performances numerous All-District honors were given this year to outstanding Trojan players. Kim Standridge was awarded with First Team All-District, while Beverly Holden and Teresa Deel were received on Second Team All-District, and an All-District Honorable Mention was presented to Mary Hayes. Along with these superb achievements, the title of Coach of the Year was deserving- ly given to Diane lnnis, who made this winning year possi- ble for the Trojans.
