Fitch collaborated with Mike Patak for an addi- tional 16 yard touchdown and along with another Adams' score from the 2 two aerial interceptions by Steve Priddy and Ray Holtzclaw led to a 29-B victory by the Trojans. The following week Trinity marched over the South Grand Prairie Warriors with a 35-7 victory. Fitch darted for a 19 yard run to the goal in the first quarter. Two second quarter touchdowns by Jerry Lindsay and Scott Adams added to Cole Jones' score from the 2 and Adams' 27 yard touchdown Trinity emerged the champs. The ensuing game found Trinity up against the team that had ruined the Trojans' perfect season last year - the Duncanville Panthers. The Trojans were down 7-0 in the first quarter but fought back to even the score in the second quarter. Well into the fourth period the Trojans scored again with Adams leaping for the score and Fitch later sneaked over the line to make it 22-20, and the homecoming crowd was ecstatic.
