REGISTRATIO A Primer for Future Paper Work and Brain Sweat Though the Trinity student is somewhat unaware of this, his or her education begins with the registration process, not in the classroom. That will surely follow. Registration, in a sense, prepares one for that moment when, to save time, he or she gets into a shorter line at the bank to deposit a paycheck, only to find the last person in the long line serviced way before he or she is - and is home watching the six o'clock news as you reach the counter. Trinity High is blessed with a competent registrar, Mrs. luana Hill - and she cares about doing a good job for the student. She is backed by Counselors Taylor, lngle, Chandler and Goss, who care. This caring for the student shows in the organization behind the student registration . . . Oh! How well the peccadillos of those August days are remembered, but who said registering 2000 kids is a cake walk? Registering for school has followed us from grade one. There must be an orderly exchange of information from student to school, for many officials are involved on the receiving end of this information. For example, the counselor must know students' credit situation, the attendance office must know where you are for aren'tj, central administrative staff need students for the average daily attendance records for financing, and the teacher needs your name to learn quickly so that he or she may educate you. Finally, the individual who aided your cause at registration, then a stranger, is probably now a close friend. fit' s iillsgii lil Should I switch Geometry to fourth and take English second, or Ah! The self-explanatory smile of getting the courses and teachers wanted without a hassle. d L'f As with all complicated items, frustration seems to always be present.
