A LOOK I TO YOUR FUTURE: COLLEGE DAY College Day was a new item on the Trinity campus this year. In years past, THS has had a college night. Many colleges were represented and interested students and parents were invited for the presentation. This year sessions were held during the day permitting all students to attend. This year was also different in that not only were colleges represented, but also vocations. HANGQUTS PROVIDE CCDNTINUING EDUCATION for the THS student - for surely comment about the day's activities in the classroom carry through those hours of sitting and chatting - grinding out , the philosophy of under twenty - at the local drive-in. Hang outs have been with the high school student for a longtime - they are part of his regimen. When a student feels hunger pains after his second period class, what does he do to satisfy his need for food? If a senior, he has his heart set on one of the eateries on this page. When a student feels the need for socializing about current events in his life, where does he head? l Auditioning for drill team tryouts involves much practice and sweat bef ore the actual performance. For the girls trying out, a friendly reminder is above this cutline in a series of pictures involving the 'lstep hook-hook, the bounce kick, and the finish 1-2-3. Prospective NN5 - RAI-I-RAI-IS AUDITIO FQRSPIRITED ROLES 11 ' Competition and pressure is seen as Debbie Holloway tries-out for cheer- leader. ',. Oh Gosh - I've got to lose ten pounds before this Monday! Get those kicks up - snap your heads - point those toes and sharpen your motions! With the coming of Drill Team and Cheerleader Try-Outs more than 90 girls started practicing at Trinity during early morning and late afternoon hours. Practice for Drill Team tryouts consisted of learning two dance routines: one containing 36 high kicks and the other being a precision prop routine. Practice for cheerleaders included learning two cheers - one group and one individual. After one week of strenuous practice for prospective cheerleaders, and two weeks for prospective Troy-Anns, tryouts were held February 11, and February 13, respectively. When these tense days of pressure were over - how did these girls spell relief? C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E!
