He or she should show proficiency in being able to recognize what genre a song is from as it is played on mediums listed above, i.e. progressive country - hard rock. A BREAK I THE DAY: Assemblies should be more than iust something to get you out of class, they should have a purpose. l'll have to say that assemblies are for our benefit. . . . break up the monotonous schedule of the day. Assemblies are to help school spirit, but there is too much apathy around which makes them boring and useless. Because of the basic instinct of all students to escape classroom clamor at the earliest convenience, l generally enjoy the change of pace an assembly provides. lt's not quite graduation, but it's N ASSEMBLY a step in the right direction. Assemblies at THS provide entertainment, promote school spirit, and become a vehicle for the airing and possible solving of problems that confront we, the Trinity High students. Entertainment usually involves a performance, perhaps a band, with ultimate purpose being students happy and club coffers supplied with new- found funds. Pep rallies for athletic endeavors unite students in the common cause of school spirit, with class competing against class for the Spirit Stick. Assemblies at THS also serve to bring students together to present problems that confront high school life. A goal of this type assembly is to see students united to solve or attempt to solve the problems at hand. Usually students are afforded the opportunity to present feedback to administrative personnel, for all give and no take presents an unhealthy situation. Assemblies with a purpose, no matter what the means to that purpose might be, are worthwhile, they further expose the student to the variety of life. 'R 'l W' A t ifg-'avg' s..t so stee 1 1 1.
