Mrs. jones is a member of Texas State Teacher's Association and National Council of Social Studies. She enjoys tennis and politics. Betty Karlick teaches typing, shorthand and bookkeeping. In addition she sponsors the junior class, YCW and FBIA. 212 I Faculty David jones has been at Trinity for two years. His sub- jects include Senior, junior and Sophomore English and Specialized Writing. He also sponsors the annual and the paper. Throughout the eight years that she has been at Trinity she has taught Sophomore English. Mrs, johnson's extracurricular activities include fishing and reading. He also spon- sors the Rodeo Club, which is designed to aid students who are interested in competitive riding. ln addition to teaching, Mr. Hickerson is a member of the Texas State Teacher's Associ- ation. His hobbies include hunting and horseback riding. Many teachers on our campus devote much of their time sponsoring active organizations. ln doing this, they help students better their education. Many spend nights and Saturdays at club or committee meetings. Often they are not just advisors but take an active part. THS has been made a better educational facility because of these teachers. A new face at Trinity this year is larry R. lobe. As a Math team her, his subjects include Algebra and Geometry. Mr. lohe's hobbies are traveling, camping, hunting and fishing. Cal Hopkins has been a member of Trinity's faculty for three years. He is the lead teacher in the business department, where he teaches Typing. Mr. Hopkins also coaches the Trinity tennis team. In addition, he also sponsors the Citizen's Band Radio Club. 1 Earle Ann Hill teaches Distributive Education at Trinity. Aside from being a member of the Texas State Teacher's Asso- ciation, she also sponsors the lunior class and DECA. Her hob- bies include interior decorating, sewing and reading. TEACHERS SPONSOR STUDE T ACTIVITIES Candy Horning is a new teacher at Trinity this year. Her courses include French and English. Ms. Horning also sponsors the French Club. For hobbies, she enjoys traveling, embroidery and sports of all kinds. Glenda lohnson teaches Senior and lunior English at Trinity. She is also a member of the Texas State Teacher's Association. Sue Matthai has been at Trinity for three years. ln addition to teaching Physical Education, she sponsors the cheerleaders and various Intramural teams. As a hobby, Mrs. Mathai enioys tennis and traveling. Gene McCaugan has taught at Trinity for five years. He is cur- rently teaching Building Trades at Trinity's Career Center. Mr. McCaughan also sponsors the Vocational Industrial Clubs of Amer- ica. Outside of class he enjoys bowling and goll. lerry B. Milan has been at Trinity for eight years. His subiects include Physical Education and Gymanastics. Aside from teaching at Trinity, Mr. Milan teaches at gymnastic clinics throughout the U.S. during the summer.
