Wichita Falls 68, Trinity 57 The Trojans took an early lead in the Wichita Falls game only to see it slip away during the second period of play. At the end of the first period, Trinity was leading by four points but by the end of the half the Coyotes had the lead 30-27. During the third quarter, Trinity fell ten points behind Wichita Falls and the game ended with the Coyotes on top by an 11 point margin. For the fourteenth time in 20 games, sophomore Kevin Lee led Trinity with 17 points. Two other double figure scorers were David Bohannon and Paul Lemons with 11 and 10 respectively. 160 l Basketball Haltom 65, Trinity 49 There were two reasons why the Trojans fell to Haltom by 16 points. They were - Kevin Lee spent periods two through four with an ice pack on his leg out of the game plus the majority of the fourth period was spent at the free throw line. The Buffalo advantage mounted slowly, with the score at halftime 28-21. The third period saw Haltom's lead grow to a 12 point margin, and in fourth period of play, free throws became the name of the game as a total of 27 were attempted. Mark Griffith took scoring honors for Trinity with 16, followed by David Bohannon with 11 and Rusty Beam with 10 Trinity 54, Castleberry 48 In the final minute of regulation play, Dean Krause, Mark Griffith and Rusty Beam enabled the Trojans to overcome the Lions by 6 points. Trinity held Castleberry by a five to ten point margin until the last minute when Castleberry closed the scoring gap to 48-46, Trinity's favor. The Trojans took advantage of Castleberry's press strategy to rattle off 6 quick points to win an important zone victory. Leading the Trojan scoring were Griffith with 16 points, Bohannon with 13 and Beam with 12.

T.I-1.5. BASKETBALL TEAM GAINS MUCH EXPERIENCE EOR NEXT YEAR'S SEASCDN The 1975-1976 Trinity Trojan Basketball team was young and had little experience -A working together until the scrimmages began. This was Coach Dick Allie's second year with the team. His varsity team consisted of three seniors and six underclassmen. Charlie Strickland, sophomore, was an outstanding varsity player. Strickland looks forward to two more years with the team. One of the main reasons for the loss was 6'10 Ricky Ashley, who scored 26 points for Mineral Wellsg Trinity trailed at the end of the first half 24-18, but guard Rusty Beam was able to hit his first four shots during the third quarter to get the Trojans back in the game. Then, during the fourth quarter, both Kevin Lee and Beam were able to tie the score. The Trojans lost by ten points.
