GUR FUTURE BUSI ESS LEADERS 'fgfxy 2, , E . FBLA Members Future Business Leaders of America is an organization that promotes and develops leadership and business skills. This year F.B.L.A. attended district and state conventions and competed for honors in various skills such as shorthand, bookkeeping, talent, Mr. and Ms. F.B.L.A., spelling, vocabulary, speech, typing, and Parliamentary Procedure. Club president, Randy Schweyher, conducted the Talent Show and Contest at State Convention last year. The club always has several winners at state convention every year. The club plans to compete in both district and state competition at the conventions. One of the members, Philip Voise, served as District F.B.L.A. Vice-President. The club published and distributed the programs for the District Convention. Sponsors are Idis Chandler and Betty Karlick. The Symphonic Band takes a trip in the spring to participate in differing contests or conventions in other regions of Texas. individuals are also involved in preparing music for All-Region Band and Orchestra try outs plus UlL Solo and Ensemble Competition.
