Vicki Cortez studies a dissection. Texas Association of Health Occupation Students is an organization of students interested in careers in the field of medicine. lt acquaints the students with the many challenges and opportunities available. Each member works at a job station related to medicine such as: nursing homes, dental offices, dental laboratories, hospitals, veterinarian offices, and orthodontist offices. This year TAHOS held officer installations in October. They had a hay ride and a Christmas Party in December. The club sponsored a blood drive on February 24 and sold calendar books and stationery to earn money. Ms. Melba Fritz sponsors the organization this year. Long, hard work hours are spent to insure the superior rating always earned by this organization. During the fall months, the Marching Band rises early to practice for Friday night performances at football games. But all that work and sweat is aimed for the HEB Marching Festival and UIL Marching Contest. Now just accepted procedure, the Marching Band took Sweepstakes at the UIL Contest. For the Symphonic and Concert Bands, a Christmas program initiated their production of music. Coupled with the THS Choral Department, students as well as the community
