ug , JT' a.,,,..,Q . L.. far , ff The Thespians had a busy year with the production of Rainmaker, Mame, the Mad Show and a Spring production plus tournament involvement. One of the first activities included attending the Regional Convention in Spring, Texas. The Thespians kicked off the year with an initiation party and treasure hunt, not to mention cast parties throughout the year. As an added pleasure, the group went to Granny's Dinner Theatre and saw 1776 and attended plays at T.C.l.C. Along with the fun, twice as much work was put into productions and tournaments. The Thespians worked on the U.I.L. one act play, The Enchanted, and directed the Kaliedescope Theater, an experimental production. Throughout the year, the group continually brought in awards for their superior performances in the duet scenes in tournaments, Reader's Theatre Productions and State U.I.L. competition in Austin. Sponsor for the group was Mrs. lan Schronk.
