THE PEP RALLY: Spirit Builder RAH! RAH! RAH! MINN-EE-SO-TA! The beginnings of our modern Pep Rally. History reveals that in 1898 a frenzied spectator leaped from the stands and shouted that phrase. Two - then three, 15, 200 joined in. More yells were originated to aid the team to victory and show them their following was backing them. RAH! RAH! RAH! SIS BOOM BAH and LOCOMOTIVE LOCOMOTIVE CH UG! CHUG! CHUG! soon followed. Organization and yell leaders came about. Throughout its development, the pep rally has served as a vehicle for every student 34.5 to express his or her support for the alma mater. Bands, drill teams and spirit groups ' add their support. A basic symbol of the pep rally is the megaphone. Af TH5, favorite Y9ll5 include Victory, Two Bits, and Arkansas. Also, emphasis is placed on the class yell competition, with the winning class receiving the SPIRIT STICK for the week. Basic to the pep rally is its uniting force from individual to body corporate. A sense of belonging is established. A common cause is at issue. Pep rallies will be with us because of that common bond. I Many factions and organizations go into making the pep rally at Trinity successful. The Spirit Stick, given each week to the most spirited class.
