In competion at dual meets, team members are required to perform six dives. Competitors must execute one required dive and five optional dives fforward, backward, inward, reverse, and twistj. Swimming Team Makes Big Splash! TOP: Moore, Jones, Walker, Courtney, Kopenhaufer, Walker, King, Kalina, Roseman, Lefler, Lightbody, Loutrel, Smith, Clack, Kleiber, Hinajousa. MIDDLE: Bowles, Kalina, Grimm, Mills, Yarbrough, Riley, Austin, Young, Meeks, Hyde, Lindsey. BOTTOM: Stevens, Hammel, Kinler, Middleton, Gammon, Glaze Hendrickson. Swimming is a new sport in the HEB District. In spite of delays which kept team members out of the water until mid-December, the team gave a fine show- ing in their first two meets. They defeated Grady Spruce '77-16 and Dallas Sunset 50-43 in very exciting contests. SWIMMING AND DIVING TEAM COACHES Don Foglesong and Kay Holleman.
