CLASS HISTURY On September 4, 1954 about eighty cool cats enrolled in the eighth grade of what was then known as Herring St. High School. We were very excited about the thought of changing classes. It was something new. In the fall of 1955, we entered our new school building! the name then changed to Trinity High School. We found that we had lost four of our students, but gained Dorothy Bolden and Anne Edwards. Due to the fact that Anne Edwards moved, we lost her. She now attends Howard High. Our Sophomore year was a wonderful one. We gained two more students, but beforethe end of the term some more of our students had to transfer. Its heaven to be a Junior. Everyone says it's the best year of high school. That year we lost six more members of the class but we also gained two. The most exciting incident of the Junior year was the Junior and Senior Prom. It was inevitable that our Senior year would be full of things to do, and which it was. We organ- ized as quickly as possible. Class officers werei Bobby Wlech, President! Allen Halliman, Vice-Presi- denti Dorothy Bolden, Secretary: Cheviene Jones, Treasurer! Willie F. lVleadows, Business Nlanageri Johnny lVloses, Reporter. Bobby Treadwell and Horace Fowler were Captain and Co-Captain of the foot- ball squad which included Bobby Reynolds, Gordon Carmichael, Willie N. Norris, Alfred Bailey, Richard Spearman, and William Brown from the senior class. Geraldine Stephens was crowned lVliss Trinity by Principal lVlartin in a magnificient array of beauty and untold splendor. Sandra Lindsey and Julia Nlae Cosby served as her personal attendants. lVlis.s Stephens and lVliss Lindsey were also chosen as debutants in the Debutant Ball of 1958. Our stay at Trinity was a most enjoyable one! there were only thirty-nine of the eighty remaining for graduation. We started in Herring St. School! we ended in Trinity High School. Now that we are about to leave, we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the teachers for making this possible. We have had four successful years in high school. We have enjoyed every minute of it. Education is our goal: we have now taken step one. By, Beverly Elder and Louise Keyton
