...-.rim if Gfass gfisiory - Picture yourselves seated in the projection room of the Trinity Production Company. A new epic picture has just been completed. Each year one of these pictures is produced and is ready for showing early in June. The name of the picture, The Class of '3 6, is a very unobtrusive one, but the title is of great significance to those concerned with its making. But now the lights are dimmed, the murmuring stops, and on the screen we see: The -Trinity High School Production Company presents, The Class of '36. The Direc-tors-The Dominican Sisters of Sinsi-nawa, Wiscon'sin The Cast-The Ofiicers and Members of the Class Now comes an account of the setting for the story. Most of the action takes place at Trinity, in the village of River Forest. An atmosphere of peace and quiet pervades the scene. The reels grind on. On a certain day, September 12, 1932, to be exact, we see a large group of very young girls mounting the steps at Trinity. A short time later we see this same group dressed in clothes that shout Initiation. Then we see them sponsor, in quick succession, a get-together party, a luncheon for their mothers, and a card party for their class. These activities definitely establish them as part of the school. Now we find them struggling along with their first semester examinations, and the-n enjoying the tranquil rest of the annual retreat. They emerge from retreat, and proceed at once to elect their class officers. At this election Jane McEvilly is chosen class president. The first reel concludes quickly, showing their party for the eighth grade pupils of the neighboring schools. S. When the second reel begins, we note the class of '36 inflicting a vigorous initiation on the eighth grade girls they had entertained the previous spring. As the picture progresses, we find that the scene has shifted. The sophomores, Page Seventeen 'Mm A ,L ,W , A ..., as i .,,,.-,....,g1,,s,,, g.-,,,L ... Alf ,r , ii
