Christmas was a very busy time at Trinity this year. Although teachers and students were very anxious to get out for the holidays, many hours were spent ecorating trees and classroom doors. The last day before the Christmas holidays, a talent show was held. There were many acts con- sisting of singing, dancing, and playing instru- ments. First place went to Ginger Bryson who performed to K'Love Is A Batt efieldf' Second place went to Gin er Wright and Richard Hunt, who sang Total clipse ofthe Heartf, Each homeroom was assigned a child from the Archdale-Trinity area. Students brought pres- ents which were organized and collected by the Student Council. These gifts were then given to needy families. Christmas was a very enjoyable time for all students, teachers and administrators at Trinity. Maybe the reason was because ofthe time of the year. Valentine's week is that special time ofthe year when one shows love for his usweetheartv in some special way. Thanks to the Student Council and The Growler, students had a wide variety of ways to express their affection. Un February ll, the Student Council held a Sweetheart Dance for all students and their dates. Proceeds went to thejohn Kearns Schol- arshi . Mark and Kevin were the disc jockeys who lilicept the music hot, while the students danced the ni ht awa .This was onl the first of several eventsgOn Ttilesday, Februalfy 14th, the Student Council delivered suckers with mes- sages from students to boyfriends or girl- friends. The Growler staff sponsored a 'Sweetest Couple contest with published mes- sages of love and affection for all. With the participation of students in all of these Valen- tine activities, it was proven that romance was not dead . . . at least not at T.H.S.!
