Each week brings a new deadline. A seemingly impossible task, but somehow it all gets done. The work of this staff is never finished because once a paper is put out, work must begin on the next one. The Bulldog Tales proved to be an inspiration to the students at TSH. In this paper students and fac- ulty were able to voice their opinion. This year was a successful one for the staff. Duke University isn’t a young school. It began in 1832 as Union School, located in Randolph County and destined to become Trinity College, Trinity High School, and eventually, Duke University. In the 1939 edition of The Trinhian, Duke University joined Trini- ty Senior High School in paying tribute to their mutu- al founders. The educators who established Union School and later Trinity College prepared the way, through their devotion to the highest educational ideals, for the emergence of Duke as a university of national stature, dedicated to the same ideals and determined to provide increasing opportunities for learning. Today, Duke University again expresses gratitude to its forefathers and at the same time salutes Trinity Senior High School, in whose progress the University feels a very special pride. Duke University Durham, North Carolina GOSH THANKS It’s very hard to tell someone exactly how much hard work, time, and patience goes into the making of an annual. For those who made the 1972 TRINHIAN a success, it’s only a first-hand experience. We would like to thank every member of the staff for time spent to this year’s annual. We would also like to thank the students for their coopera- tion. A special thanks goes to the faculty for understanding our many interruptions during their classes. Appreciation goes to Mr. J. R. Coggins, Principal, and Mrs. Hilda Brady, Secretary, for their working with the staff. If not for the services of Photographic Arts, Marsh Studios, 7a VAI Nelson Photography, School Pictures, Inc. Hudson Studios, THE HIGH POINT ENTERPRISE, THE TIMES, Rev. Ralph Holcomb, Ken Batton, Larry Brown, and Mrs. Betty Hemmings, the TRINHIAN would not have been a success. Last but not least, we would like to thank Mr. Roy Allen for serving as our advisor. The time has come for us to give our last thanks to every- one who had a part in the 1972 TRIHIAN.
