This year became a very meaningful one as the Band was able to acquire their new uniforms. Under the direction of Mr. Jack Jarrett, the Band participated in many Christmas parades as well as entering the contest for concert bands in the spring. Majorettes for 1971 were Janice Carroll, Cindy Aldridge, Cathy White, Mary Ann Staton, chief; Sylvia Loflin, Brooks Spencer, and Amy Tysinger. Band members for 1970-71 were as follows: R. Lee, R. Their activities included caroling at Christmas and sponsoring an authentic French dinner.
