A pair of victories over arch-rival St. X. Q4-3 and 5-21 highlighted the campaign and erased the major roadblock to the compilingof the unblemished slate. In opening their season, the Irish ac- cepted an invitation to participate in the Southern Re ional Tournament, a meet involving scI1ools from all the states in the Sout . J. T. Sims and Kevin Walsh each captured the singles title in his res- pective age division, then teamed up to inish runner-up in the doubles.
