O AR Likes mechanical work-Dislikes .r ool-Aim: Since Mr. John Walker did not return this fall, Mr. John Crosbie was elected as our new advisor. The social calendar this year was marked with a Class Party and a Class Dance. With the education game of our four-year high school lives at the half-way mark, we entered Trinity High School as Juniors with more self-confidence than we had in the previous two years. We felt truly that we were on our Way after receiving our class rings in December of 49 . The outstanding events of the year were the Junior Play and the Junior and Senior Prom which everyone looked forward to with much enthusiasm. The oflicers elected to serve this year were: President ...... .. ......... Arthur Hallam Vice-President .......... Elmer Sobansky Secretary .... ..... M ary Catherine Seibel Treasurer ....................................................... Peggy Hart With more confidence and enthusiasm than had been expressed in the previous years, the Class of Sl entered Trinity determined to get as much as possible out of school and to accomplish much more than they had before. With graduation day on almost everyone's mind, meetings were held at which time name cards and announcements were purchased, caps and gowns were fitted, and many other ditails concerning Commencement were attended to. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY A bright September day in 1947 marked the beginning of four years as high school students for approximately 230 meek students. Lipstick smeared, we the Class of Sl soon learned that paper was not to be thrown on the campus, and that gum was not to be chewed and placed under seats. Before too long we found our direc- tions for going in and about the buildings. Our Hrst social affair was a dance held after a Trinity-Canonsburg football game. ln April, the Class Party established our first class get-together. With Mr. Clark, Director of Activities, presiding at our first meeting the follow- ing officers and advisors were elected: President ...................... ..... J oseph Verderber Vice-President ..... Patricia Spittal Secretary ..... ...... P atricia Dudash Treasurer .... ...... E dward Zimmerman Advisors fMiss Shirley Tanner U lMr. John Walker Returning in the fall of 48 , we were a little more accustomed with the laws and routines of Trinity High School and decided to settle down to business by elect- ing the following officers to lead us through our Sophomore year: President ..................................................
