SENIOR CLASS HISTORY One bright day early in September, 1939, the faculty of Trinity High heard a re- sounding tramp. Looking out of the windows, they saw the Class of '44 entering. It wasn't long until We, as a Freshman Class, selected the following leaders: Miss Dempster Mr- ROSS Faculty Advisors Vivian Beton Elinor Rossi President Secretary Audree Ellwood Louise Collins Vice-President Treasurer In our Sophomore year, things went along more smoothly and the future Presi- dents and First Ladies strutted around with all the dignity they could muster. Being an active class, we again organized quickly. Officers for the year were: Paul Calabro Alice Miller President Secretary Robert Young Irene Taylor Vice-President Treasurer As Juniors, not quite so sure of ourselves now that the final lap in our journey through school was drawing near, we were really applying ourselves to lessons Camong other thingsj. Selected to represent the class were: PaulICalabro Mary Martin President Secretary Kenny Adams Sara Frazier Vice-President Treasurer Due to the War, our faculty underwent a few changes. Nlr. Ross entered the Army and Miss Dempster left the school. Miss Ferralli and Mr. McKay took the places of the two former advisors. However, lVIr. McKay was called to the Army, too. His place was ably filled by Mr. Decker. Now the goal that called forth all efforts-each student could call himself a Sen- ior! The Senior Class was a beehive of activity, sponsoring a play, dances, parties, and other events of interest. The officers were: Paul Calabro Annetta Wonsettler President Secretary Raymond Gayvert Evadine Hart Vice-President TI'Cll8lU'9f Paul went to the Navy, so Raymond stepped up to take his place, and Robert Ellis became Vice-President. All in all, the graduating class is a successful one. It entered Trinity as the larg- est Freshman Class and left, one of the most determined. If in the future years you meet a member of the 'iClass of '44 he's sure to be a true citizen and friend.
