A young man once request- ed Henry Ward Beecher to assist him in finding an easy position. Mr. Beecher replied: You cannot be an editor. Do not try the law. Do not think of the min- istry. Let alone all ships, shops, and merchandise. Be not a farmer nor mechanic, neither a soldier nor sailor. Don't Work, don't study, don't thinkg none of these are easy.
